The
most important endeavor in any community is the cooperative effort of
parents, community members, and educators to ensure the best possible
education of its children. The teacher’s responsibility is to guide
each child in mastering the fundamental tools of learning to the
fullest extent of that child’s ability. The parents’ responsibility is
to take an active role in the schooling process and to support it
financially and morally.
Educational experiences should provide the opportunity for the most
complete physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, moral, social and
intellectual growth possible. The skills, habits and attitudes
developed by the children from these experiences should prepare them
to live successfully in the world of today and tomorrow.
This
purposeful growth is directed by stressing the students’
responsibility, as well as their rights as citizens in our democracy.
The educational process employed by the Harrison Schools attempts to
enhance each child’s development, thus being able as a well-adjusted
human being, to thrive within our community, our nation and the world. |
