Welcome to Samuel J. Preston Elementary

Dear Parents and Community Members,

The arrival of Spring brings many special events and celebrations to our school community. Our Green Key Service Club kicked off the season with our first "Spring Sing" where the children performed for and then led a sing-along with West Harrison's seniors at the Senior Annex Building. It was a spirited event to be sure! The good work of the Green Key Service Club continues in the weeks ahead, with a fundraiser for cancer research before a culminating ceremony recognizing their extraordinary efforts this year.

The Spring also holds many other special events, including the Preston Talent Show, Multi-Cultural Night, the school book fair, and our Budget Night open school events. Incoming kindergarten parents also have much to look forward to, including Kindergarten Orientation and individual student screenings. Music will take center stage during our third grade recorder performance and fourth/fifth grade Spiring Concert at the Performing Arts Center at Harrison High School. And, of course, many special class trips and picnics will create special school memories leading up to our Kindergarten and Fifth grade moving-up ceremonies in late June. Please consult the District Calendar for specific dates and times.

As we enter the final phase of the school year, we continue to be fortunate to serve such a caring and supportive school community. On behalf of our exemplary faculty and staff, we wish you smiles and special memories in the weeks and months ahead.
Sincerely,

Jeremy Barker
Principal
