Teacher/School Aide & Teaching Assistants
Benefit Trust Fund
 


Overview
 

The Teacher/School Aide & Teaching Assistant Benefit Trust Fund provides supplemental benefits to full-time employees (i.e., employees appointed to work more than 25 hours per week) who have completed at least one year of full-time service in the District. These benefits include:

  • Dental coverage
  • Vision coverage

Information below summarizes each of these benefits, but employees should consult the CSEA Employee Benefit Fund Website for more detailed information.

Dental Coverage

Dental coverage is provided through the CSEA EBF Horizon Dental Plan to active members who have completed at least one year of full-time service in the District at an annual employee premium of $50 for single coverage and $200 for family coverage.  The Horizon Dental Plan offers a $2,850 annual maximum on regular dental work and a lifetime orthodontics maximum of $2,217.  Click here for the Horizon Dental Plan Brochure.

 Vision Coverage

Vision coverage is provided through the CSEA EBF Platinum 12 Vision Care Plan at no annual cost to active members who have completed at least one year of full-time service in the District.  Eligible members are entitled to an eye examination and one pair of glasses (lenses and frames) or contact lenses once in a 12 month period.  Click here for the Platinum 12 Vision Care Plan Brochure.
