January has been a busy month for Harrison High School’s Football program. HHS senior Austin Evans was named to the prestigious Westchester Chapter of the National Football Foundation’s “Golden Dozen” and HHS senior Brett Silber was named Honorable Mention. The 44th Annual Golden Dozen Awards Ceremony was held January 25th at Westchester Country Club.
The National Football Foundation’s “Golden Dozen” looks to recognize athletes in Westchester County that have shown exceptional prowess in academics, athletics, and in the community. Austin Evans was also the recipient of the Christopher Mello Memorial Scholarship.
“Out of 24 total honorees in ALL of Westchester County, Harrison landed two Golden Dozen Award winners,” said Christopher Galano, Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Health for the Harrison Central School District.
Austin Evans was also the recipient of the News 12 Scholar-Athlete Award. The news organization recently visited Harrison High School to talk with Austin. Please watch the News 12 video below:
