-Best Overall Production: Harrison High School - Me and My Girl

Harrison High School Earns 11 Metro Nominations

The cast and crew of this year’s Harrison High School musical production, Me and My Girl, have been nominated for 11 Metropolitan High School Theater Awards.  The awards, commonly known at the “Metros” are presented by the Helen Hayes Youth Theater and recognize outstanding musical theater productions from high schools throughout Rockland, Westchester, Putnam and Bergen counties.

Harrison’s nominations broadly represent the show from stage crew, to instrumentalist, to featured performers, technical crew, direction and Best Overall Production.  Harrison High School is one of only a select number of schools with 10 nominations in addition to Best Overall Production.  As a Best Production nominee, cast members will perform live at the 21st Annual Metro Award Ceremony on June 10th at SUNY Purchase.

To be considered for a Metro award, performances are assessed by a panel of 3 judges who evaluate the production according to a list of criteria. Scores are then tabulated to determine the nominees.

Congratulations to the nominees and the entire cast and crew of Me and My Girl!
