HHS Students Recognized for Excellence in Writing and Art

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards recognized three Harrison High School students for excellence in writing and photography. Cameron Hackett won a Gold Key Award for writing; Joanna Howser received a Silver Key Award for writing; and, Katie Cole earned an Honorable Mention in Photography.

The awards were announced last spring for works produced during the 2018-19 school year. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards recognize creative efforts of students in grades 7-12. Students throughout the country submitted approximately 340,000 original works in 29 different categories. Students’ submissions are judged based on originality, technical skill, and the emergence of personal voice or vision.

Congratulations!
