HHS’ Seussical Wins 2018 Metropolitan Theater Awards


HHS junior Lianne Davidoff and the entire stage crew of Harrison High School’s production of Seussical The Musical were awarded Metropolitan Theater Awards (Metros) at this year’s ceremony.

The annual event celebrates high school musical productions from participating schools in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Bergen counties and are billed as the high school equivalent of the Tony Awards.

The evening was hosted by Adam Kaplan and Christian Pitts of the Broadway Musical A Bronx Tale: The Musical and handed out awards in 32 categories.

Lianne Davidoff, who was recognized for her performance as Mrs. Mayor – the Mayor’s Wife of Whooville, received the award for Best Featured Ensemble Member.

The twenty-six HHS students whose responsibilities range from Stage Manager to Light Board operator, to prop master and run crew received the award for Best Stage Crew.
