The Harrison High School Wrestling team began their season with an outstanding win at the Rye Dual Meet Tournament. Tyler Joseph, Jay Martins, Andrew Hollander, Max Fujita and Chris Evangelista all went 5-0 in their respective matches and Daniel Choe was 4-0. Andrew Hollander was voted Most Outstanding Senior Wrestler at the meet. The next week, the Huskies took their winning streak to the mats at LMK for the Section 1 Duals where the team advanced to the quarterfinals again North Rockland. The Section1 Duals will continue on Tuesday, December 13th.
The Rye Town/Harrison Titans Varsity Ice Hockey team is off to an impressive start and are on a four game winning streak. The team has a host of contributors with many scoring firsts in their career. Eric Melham, Anthony Cipollone, Kieran Storch, and Christian Pizzutello each scored their first career goals while goalkeeper Sam Smith recorded his first career shutout. Captain Jackson Schultz, who currently has 12 goals and 14 assists, and Ike Murov, with 11 goals and six assists, recently received LoHud Hockey Player of the Week Honorable Mention honors.
The Harrison High School Varsity Cheerleaders punched their ticket to Nationals with a stellar performance at the Regional Competition at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Nationals will be held in February at the Walt Disney Resorts in Orlando, Florida.
The Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams will once again host their annual Holiday Tournament beginning Thursday, December 15 through Saturday, December 17. Teams from White Plains, Peekskill, Eastchester, Valhalla, Carmel and Henry Hudson High Schools will be on hand to battle for victory.
