Harrison High School football senior Robert Donohue was selected as one of the prestigious Golden Dozen scholar-athletes and will be recognized at the 45th Annual awards banquet at the Westchester Country Club in Rye on Thursday, January 26th.
In addition to being recognized for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence on the football field, in the classroom, and in the community, Donohue was also selected to deliver the student speech at the awards ceremony – the first Harrison player to do so.
This past fall, Donohue was honored as the Harrison recipient of the Christopher D. Mello Award – an award given by the Mello family on behalf of the late Rye High School stand-out football player and scholar-athlete who was killed on September 11, 2001.
In addition to Donohue, HHS senior Stephen Windisch was among 14 other scholar-athletes in Westchester County who will receive Honorable Mention accolades at the Thursday banquet.
Harrison High School junior Austin Evans was selected to the New York State Football Class A – Honorable Mention team. This season, Evans also received All League and All Section 1 honors and was a NYSPHAA Scholar-Athlete.
Congratulations to all three of these outstanding athletes on their prestigious recognitions.
