The Cinderella post-season came to an end for the Harrison Boys Varsity Basketball team (seeded 24th) as they fell to the #1 seed Byram Hills 56-35. The Huskies had advanced to this round after they eliminated #8 seed Ardsley on Saturday, Feb 18th by a score of 59-58. Luke McCarthy was able to clinch the upset with two clutch free throws with 3.7 seconds remaining in that game. Will Marriott contributed 16 points and 15 rebounds and Max Scoli had 16 points in a true team victory.
The Huskies had recorded an outstanding upset against John Jay Cross River High School (#9) on Thursday, February 16th - winning 50-48. High scorers of the game were seniors Matt McLaughlin with 16pts and three steals and Will Marriott with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Girls Varsity Basketball (#8) also saw their season draw to a close with a loss to #1 seeded Walter Panas 71-65. The Huskies beat Pearl River (#9) at home on Saturday, February 16th by a score of 61-56 to advance to the Quarterfinals game. Avery LaBarbera had 25 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in that victory. Kendall Lefkowitz added 18 points.
The Titans Varsity Ice Hockey (#9) traveled to Palisades Ice Arena to play Clarkstown (#8) on Sunday, February 19th. Unfortunately, the Titans' season came to a close as they lost a close game by a score of 3-2. Ike Murov and sam Adler scored the two goals for the Titans and Jackson Scultz and Sam Chalfin added assists. Congratulations on a terrific season.
