The kindergarten and first grade students at Harrison Avenue, Parsons, Preston and Purchase celebrated the milestone of the 100th Day of the school year by incorporating creative ways to symbolize 100. Some students wore their creations on their backs in the form of t-shirts that contained 100 candies, 100 emojis, 100 animals, or 100 stickers of the Superbowl winning Patriots.
Activities in the classroom included counting by 10’s to reach 100 – cups, blocks, shoes, or Kellogg’s Froot Loops. Classes created headgear symbolizing the day. Others added a word to the “100 word list” or collected 100 canned goods to donated to the Harrison Food Pantry.
