Title I Parent Engagement Policy
The Board of Education believes that parental engagement has a direct impact on student achievement, as well as on a student's social and emotional well-being. The overall aim of this policy is to develop a parental involvement program that will ensure effective involvement of parents in our schools. Furthermore, the Board encourages active parental involvement to occur at home to stress the importance of learning beyond the academic day. Each member of the Harrison learning community should commit himself or herself to the district's mission of equity, access, rigor and adaptability for every child within our schools.
