COVID 19 Cases & Quarantines
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination to Reduce Risk of Quarantine
When individuals are vaccinated against COVID-19, they help to reduce the risk of transmission in school and avoid having to quarantine following exposure to a positive person. Since all students are now eligible for the vaccine, the District is renewing the request for parents to voluntarily provide proof of their child's vaccination by completing this HIPAA-protected COVID-19 Vaccination Survey.
HCSD Hosting Second Dose COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Students Ages 5-11
The Harrison Central School District partnered with White Plains Hospital to host a free, voluntary COVID-19 vaccine clinic for students ages 5 to 11 on Monday. 183 student received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on November 22, and they have been scheduled to receive the second dose on Monday, December 13. We realize that not every interested parent/guardian was able to schedule an appointment, and we are working to schedule additional opportunities to offer the vaccine in the near future.
NYSDOH Guidance for Vaccine Reactions
NYSDOH recently published the following guidance to explain possible reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine and the steps to be followed:
