Free Rapid Antigen Test Kits Available for Students
As a result of the Harrison Central School District’s advocacy, New York State and Westchester County provided COVID tests to support Test to Stay and Weekly PCR Testing programs.
The District has received enough free test kits to support these programs and to provide one (1) free rapid antigen test kit (there are two rapid tests in each kit) for every student attending Harrison schools. Given the scarcity of COVID-19 tests, this could be a helpful resource for families, especially with the coming February break.
Since these tests are performed at home, the results cannot be used to clear your child to return to school or exempt them from quarantine, but they can be used to help your family stay safe and provide you with timely information if your child becomes symptomatic. Consult with your pediatrician if your child becomes symptomatic or has a positive test result at home.
Parents with more than one school-age child in the District can pick up their free rapid antigen test kits for their children at ANY of the school locations listed below. To help the District plan for the test kit distribution, please complete this Rapid Antigen Test Kit Request Form.

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination to Reduce Risk of Quarantine
When individuals are vaccinated against COVID-19, they help to reduce the risk of transmission in school and avoid having to quarantine following exposure to a positive person. Since all students are now eligible for the vaccine, the District is renewing the request for parents to voluntarily provide proof of their child's vaccination by completing this HIPAA-protected COVID-19 Vaccination Survey.
