Coronavirus Update August 15: Virtual Learning Option, Parent Meetings & Reopening Website

Update from the Superintendent of Schools

Update: August 15 2020

Dear Harrison Learning Community,

After careful consideration, the Harrison Central School District will add the option of a fully virtual learning model for any student. Details of this option will be included in our updated plan and shared at our parent meetings. Meetings will be live-streamed, and links to sign up may be accessed below:

Harrison High School Plan: August 17th at 7 PM
LMK Middle School Plan: August 18th at 7 PM
Elementary Schools Plan: August 19th at 7 PM

The District has developed a Reopening Website that provides information about our plans to reopen schools in September. The plan will be updated as information from the New York State Education Department, New York State and Westchester County Departments of Health, and the Governor’s office evolve and as circumstances change.

The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff remain our most important priority. We will do everything possible to make each experience of in-person, hybrid, and virtual learning meaningful for students.

Sincerely,

Louis N. Wool Ed.D.
Superintendent
