HHS Footlight Players Present Into the Woods
The HHS Footlight Players will present Into the Woods in the Harrison High School Performing Arts Center Friday, March 10th, and Saturday, March 11th, at 7 PM and Sunday, March 12th, at 2PM. General Admission tickets will be available at the door. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
With Tony Award-winning music by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, Into the Woods brings to life our favorite storybook characters to tell a new, and relevant, tale. Drawing on these classic characters, the show spins new lessons on morality, accepting responsibility, and the challenges of growing up.
“The story follows a baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to attend the King’s Festival, and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse.” (MTIshows.com)
As they each enter the woods, their paths intertwine as they come to learn that “wishes come true, not free.”
