The Harrison Athletics program is built on the principles of Rigor, Development, Communication, and Accountability. Harrison coaches work to develop programs based on communication, clear expectations, ongoing feedback, accountability and developing self-advocacy in our student athletes. We are committed to meeting the standards of high expectation and maximum effort on and off the field.

HHS Senior Ariella Blackman Performing in Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade

Harrison High School senior Ariella Blackman will be marching in the Great American Marching Band at the NYC Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Ariella was selected for this tremendous opportunity out of hundreds of applicants by submitting an audition video, judged on technical proficiency, tone quality, and overall general musicianship. Ariella performed her level 6 NYSSMA solo, which she learned last spring and performed for feedback in the NYSSMA solo festival. Over the course of the experience, Ariella will be working with top musicians from around the country under the direction of Dr. Richard Good, the Director of Bands at Auburn University, one of the nation’s premier collegiate marching programs.
