Summer Programs Cultivate Curiosity and Love of Reading One Page at a Time

Pages turned in Harrison all summer as more than 200 elementary, middle, and high school students and more than 100 middle and high school teachers participated in the District’s summer reading programs: Reading with the Huskies, Booked for Summer, and Create Your Own Book Club. Harrison High School’s Huskies led lively and engaging Zoom book talks with elementary students, while middle and high schoolers explored their teachers’ favorite reads. The programs cultivated a love of reading and fostered a joyful reading culture throughout our school community. Want a recommended read?
