Spring 2022
Message from the Director of Athletics
Dear Harrison Community,
The Spring 2022 season was another exciting one for Harrison Athletics. Our Girls Track and Boys Golf teams clinched the League Championship; the baseball team won the Basso Tournament, and softball coaches Marino and Acuti posted a milestone 300th career win.
Our student athletes demonstrate the true meaning of Husky Pride in all they do. This year, four varsity teams earned League Championship titles – Girls Indoor Track, Girls Basketball, Boys Golf, and Girls Outdoor Track. Alex Marino and Michael Griff clinched the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Boys Tennis Doubles Championship, and the Varsity Cheer team earned the UCA Regional Championship title. In addition to success on the field, 27 of 29 Varsity teams achieved scholar athlete status this year. Our Husky athletes had much to celebrate on our fields and in our classrooms!
The end of the school year also means saying farewell to our graduating seniors; 110 of whom played at least one sport as a Husky. Twelve seniors were three-sport athletes, and nine members of the Class of 2022 will play their respective sports in college next year. I send each of our graduating Huskies off with a reminder - Once a Husky Always a Husky. I know they will take what they learned in Harrison with them and make us proud.
Please join me in celebrating all of our Husky student athletes and coaches in this edition of Harrison Athletics newsletter, featuring a year-end review and spring sports wrap up.
Sincerely,
Christopher Galano

Modified Athletics at LMK Middle School
The start of the Spring 2022 Modified Athletics Season returned with great excitement, with over 190 student athletes participating in Baseball, Softball, Track and Field, Girls and Boys Lacrosse. Students built friendships and developed skills for the sports they love while competing against other neighboring schools. Our LMK Huskies found success on the fields, but it was their actions of caring, respect, sportsmanship and dedication that stood out. The spring season culminated with the Baseball and Softball teams playing the traditional Maroon vs. White games at Harrison High School in front of parents, peers, as well as Varsity coaches and players - an experience they will never forget.
