LMK Student Performances Conclude Winter Concerts

Louis M Klein Middle School student musicians closed out the District’s Winter Concerts with performances in the newly renovated auditorium in January. The three performances featured musical talents of sixth, seventh and eighth grade students in band, orchestra, and chorus.

The Grade 8 Concert started the new year and hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to open the fully renovated auditorium. Performances included orchestral renditions of Allegro con Brio and Dance of the Tumblers; Memory and Captain Marvel March by the 8th Grade Band; and, Lovely and The Voice That I Hear by the Chorus.

Seventh grade students took to the LMK stage and entertained family in friends with Can Can Basses and Mozart Symphony No. 40 by the orchestra; band performances of Hogan’s Heroes March and Theme from Rudy; and Elton John’s popular song I’m Still Standing and a traditional African song Senwa Dedende.

Students in the sixth grade concluded the winter concerts with At the Grasshopper Ball and Sword Dance by the orchestra; Circle of Life and Rising Star by the band and a choral performance of Rise Up and Come in from the Firefly Darkness.
