Budget Advances Educational Initiatives for All Students

  • A budget within the allowable tax cap levy limit, the Board has never proposed a levy above the limit
  • Maintenance of District class sizes with a target of 22 students K-12
  • Full-time Health Assistant for middle school
  • Continue to pay fees for International Baccalaureate & Advanced Placement exams for all students
  • Increase psychological services in the middle and elementary school
  • Increase mandated special education teachers and support staff
  • Facility improvements throughout District

 

Tax Levy Below Cap

Since New York State’s adoption of the mandated tax cap, the Harrison Central School District tax levy has been at or below the cap.   The 2020-21 budget proposes a tax levy increase of 2.10%, below the allowable tax levy cap.

Notice of Public Hearing on the Budget

The Board of Education of the Harrison Central School District will hold the Public Hearing on the proposed 2020-2021 School District Budget on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at 8:15 P.M. The Public Hearing will be held remotely via Zoom. The public may participate and view by registering here: Harrison Central School District Budget Hearing. The public will have the opportunity to comment at the hearing.
