HCSD's Fine and Performing Arts Department affords all students the opportunity to study music, visual art, dance, and theatre, providing every child with experiences that promote life-long participation and enjoyment of the arts. About HCSD Athletics

The Harrison Athletics program is built on the principles of Rigor, Development, Communication, and Accountability. Harrison coaches work to develop programs based on communication, clear expectations, ongoing feedback, accountability and developing self-advocacy in our student athletes. We are committed to meeting the standards of high expectation and maximum effort on and off the field.

Budget Advances Educational Initiatives for All Students

A budget within the allowable tax cap levy limit, the Board has never proposed a levy above the limit
Maintenance of District class sizes with a target of 22 students K-12
Full-time Health Assistant for middle school
Continue to pay fees for International Baccalaureate & Advanced Placement exams for all students
Increase psychological services in the middle and elementary school
Increase mandated special education teachers and support staff
Facility improvements throughout District

Tax Levy Below Cap

Since New York State’s adoption of the mandated tax cap, the Harrison Central School District tax levy has been at or below the cap. The 2020-21 budget proposes a tax levy increase of 2.10%, below the allowable tax levy cap.

By executive order Governor Andrew Cuomo extended the deadline for school districts to accept school budget ballots. All ballots must be received in the District from the US Postal Service no later than June 16th at 5 PM.
