Introduction to Course Selection
You and your child will receive an appointment time and a link to a Google Meet via email no less than a week prior to your scheduled meeting. Students will attend the appointment in-person with their school counselor, and family members are welcome to join in-person or virtually using the link. Appointments will begin in early January and run through the end of March.
To prepare for the course selection meeting with your child’s school counselor please review the many resources available on our website in the HHS Guide to Educational Planning. By selecting the grade level tab in which your child is entering, you will be able to view a list of all course options and print the worksheet to discuss as a family. Additionally, all courses have full descriptions listed under each content area if you would like to learn more about any of the courses listed.
Please use your school counselor as a resource and partner in helping you make your course selection and individualized planning decisions. If you have any questions, please contact your school counselor or call the Guidance Office at 914-630-3101.
